You don&#8217;t even have to be flying; just the thought of it allows you to feel this way.  After a while, just the mention of flying makes you feel terrible. I&#8217;ll explain below why this happens and give you a technique to reduce or get rid of this feeling.</p>
<p>Why do you have a fear or phobia?<br />
Your mind generalises to protect you.  When you were young you learnt to open a door. Now you&#8217;re able to open pretty much every door in the world, even if you&#8217;ve never seen this door before.  The same is true about a fear or phobia.  You had a bad experience and now your mind generalises, this allows you to have the same feelings in every similar situation.  </p>
<p>Imagine you&#8217;re bitten by a dog when you were young.  It was a big black Rottweiler that bit you. Now every time you see any dog you&#8217;re scared.  This is a pure case of your mind generalising to protect you.  You had one bad experience with a dog and now you&#8217;re scared of every dog you come across, even the thought of a dog scares you.  </p>
<p>The same is true about flying and any other fear or phobia on the planet.  There are no exceptions here, fears and phobias all do the same things to your body.  These are all learnt behaviours and anything that can be learnt, can be unlearnt. How great would it be to face your fear of flying and not have that uncomfortable feeling in your body?  Here is a great technique to lower or reduce your fear significantly.</p>
<p>How to get rid of a fear or phobia<br />
Think of your fear and identify the direction of the feeling in your body.  For example; it may be a forwards, backwards, clockwise or an anticlockwise spinning feeling in your body.  Close your eyes now and imagine your fear playing out in your mind.  Imagine you&#8217;re watching a big blockbuster movie and you&#8217;re in it.  Notice the spinning feeling in your body and give it the colour red and keep it spinning.  Now change the direction of the spinning in your body and give it the colour blue.  For Example; if it was a red, backwards spinning feeling, now spin it forwards with the colour blue.  Picture this blue colour spinning in your body as you see yourself successfully handle this situation in the movie calmly and confidently.  Now gently step inside yourself in the movie and allow yourself to see everything through your own eyes.  See what you&#8217;ll see through your own eyes when everything plays out successfully, the way you want it to.  Make the picture bigger, brighter and more colourful while you continue to spin this blue feeling in your body faster and faster.  Let the blue colour become lighter and lighter until it&#8217;s a sky blue.  What calm or confident internal voice do you hear when everything plays out successfully in the situation.  Make this voice more calm and confident and the sounds around you louder and richer, as you continue to spin this light blue feeling in your body.  Do this for 5-10 minutes and when you feel great open your eyes.</p>
<p>How great do you feel now?  By changing the images, sounds and the direction of the feeling in your body, you&#8217;re able to feel more calm, confident and relaxed in this situation.  This will allow you to take the necessary action to enter a similar situation in the future.  By taking action over and over you condition a new habit of calmness and confidence in this situation until it becomes an automatic behaviour.  By doing this you&#8217;ll get rid of your fear of flying completely!</p>

Through constant practise and conditioning, these become automatic processes that give you the feelings you want consistently.  I&#8217;ll show you how these process work and how to achieve more confidence in any area of your life.</p>
<p>Master your Mind<br />
In order to achieve more confidence, first you must master your mind.  By creating empowering images and sounds in your mind you create empowering feelings of confidence in your body.  Have you ever seen somebody that is so confident, and you thought it would be awesome to be like that? How do you think they become confident like that?  They created amazing pictures of themselves succeeding in their mind, along with a confident internal voice that told them they can achieve whatever they want.  This drove them to take action and as they took action over and over, everything became easier and easier. Confidence became an automatic process, like tying their shoelace or brushing their teeth.  Therefore, the real trick to lasting confidence is to take more action, over and over.  You became great at walking, because when you were a baby, you tried it so many times. Finally after falling down enough times, you were able to walk and it became an automatic process.  The same is true about confidence or any other empowering emotion.  The more action you take over and over, you&#8217;ll eventually become confident in this area which will be lasting confidence.   This all sounds good in theory, but let me give you a technique that will give you more confidence and allow you to take more action to achieve lasting confidence.</p>
<p>Visualise and Anchor<br />
Close your eyes and slow down your breathing. Imagine seeing yourself in a blockbuster movie.  See the way you move, the way you breathe and the look on your face when you&#8217;re doing something you&#8217;re totally confident in.  Now step inside yourself in that movie and see everything through your own eyes when you&#8217;re totally confident.  Make the pictures bigger, brighter and more colourful in your mind now.  What sounds do you here around you, when you&#8217;re totally confident? Make these sounds richer and louder.  Now feel the amazing feelings of confidence spread throughout your body as you completely confident in this situation.  Intensify these feelings of confidence now, and when you&#8217;re completely confident squeeze your thumb and middle finger together for about 2-3 seconds and then release.  This will create an emotional anchor for these confident feelings.  Keep visualising and when you feel these amazing feeling of confidence again, squeeze these fingers together.  Repeat this 3-5 times.  Now when you squeeze these fingers you&#8217;ll have all these amazing feelings of confidence spread throughout your body.</p>
<p>Transfer the feeling<br />
Now close your eyes again and visualise the situation you&#8217;re struggling to have confidence in. Imagine you&#8217;re in a blockbuster movie and see everything playing out successfully, the way you want it to play out.  Notice the way you look, the way you breathe and the look on your face when you&#8217;re totally confident in this situation.  Now step inside yourself in this movie and see everything play out successfully through your own eyes.  Make the images bigger, brighter and bolder and create a confident internal voice in your head.  Now squeeze your anchor and feel all these feeling of confidence spread throughout your body while you&#8217;re in this situation.  Go back and repeat this 3-5 times.  Now when you fire your anchor, all those amazing feelings of confidence will spread throughout your body.</p>
<p>Open your eyes and think of the situation you were struggling with confidence.  How do you feel now?  I bet you feel great and you&#8217;re itching to take some action. With all these amazing feelings of confidence inside you&#8217;re able to take more action in this situation.  By taking more action over and over you&#8217;ll create an automatic feeling of confidence in your body that will last.  This is a quick and easy way to create lasting confidence in any area of your life. This will ultimately lead you to enjoy more happiness and success in your life.</p>

When you say you want more money; it&#8217;s not the money you really want, it&#8217;s the feeling money will give you.  It may give the feeling of security, freedom, pride or the ability to give.  The same is true about everything else you want in your life. The material things you want make you feel a certain way and thus by finding the emotions you want, you&#8217;re able to know what you&#8217;re really after.  </p>
<p>You want more of the empowering emotions of love, joy, excitement and happiness and less of the disempowering emotions of depression, frustration, fear and anger.  The great thing is you can condition yourself into a Peak Emotional State whenever you desire, simply by changing your physiology and your focus.  When you jump up, put your shoulders back and put a smile on your face, you change your physiology which allows you to feel great.  Try going for a run; while running, standing up straight and breathing deep, it&#8217;s physiologically impossible to be depressed or have any negative emotions.</p>
<p>When you change what your mind focuses on, you can snap yourself out of a negative state and into a positive one.  Think of a time you were having a few negative thoughts that allowed you to feel terrible.  As soon as you changed your focus by going shopping, reading, playing sport or watching a movie, your focused shifted and you to felt differently.  The great thing is, you can get yourself into a Peak State in a heartbeat and by practising it over and over, you&#8217;ll make a habit out of feeling great!</p>
<p>Practice mastering each of these areas and you&#8217;ll create a foundation for success.  The storms in your life will come and when this strong foundation is in place, you can weather these storms, stand strong and keep moving forward.  So many people neglect spending time on their mind and emotions as they don&#8217;t notice any aesthetic change, and just focus on having a great body, because it looks good.  </p>
<p>Your mind and emotions need constant attention too.  It&#8217;s like going to the gym everyday and building a muscle, if you don&#8217;t use it, you lose it.  The same is true about your mind and emotions; you need to spend time feeding your mind with great books and practice having more of the emotions that will drive you to take more action. We respond with anger when we feel that we need to defend ourselves physically, our family members or our country, our property, our values and even our entitlements. Anger is the response to attack when we can lose something, but also when we do not receive what we feel we deserve.</p>
<p>Anger is a prompt for attack as the best defense; the emotion is associated with biological changes in the body as the body prepares for combat, the stress enzymes are released, the blood pressure rises, the heart beats quicker, and we may feel hot and even start shaking. The biological changes can be very rapid when the strong anger arises, and it can quickly turn into a violent rage without much thinking. Sometimes the opposite happens, we mentally block the prolonged frustration and anger and the biological changes like high blood pressure and stress enzymes become permanent, leading to a serious health problems.</p>
<p>Anger is most often a secondary emotion, caused by fear, insecurity, low confidence, hurt and pain. When you are confident and secure, you do not need to respond with anger to critics or judgments. The words or actions of other people do not affect you when your self-esteem is strong, your feel your worth and you treat critics as getting a feedback and good tips to improve. Yes, when you are confident and open, you are grateful for critics, as it helps you to grow and learn.</p>
<p>Similarly, when we hold hurt and pain in our hearts, we are afraid of more hurt and pain, and we respond with anger when we feel that it may happen again. It is also easier to hold onto anger, because it makes us stronger to be angry than hurt and sad, and the old anger is revoked at any situation which reminds us of the old hurt. Those connections are on the subconscious level, very often not logical, difficult to trace.</p>
<p>We are also angry when we are denied the fulfillment of our desires. Some people are carrying anger and resentment from their younger years. Life is a challenge and has many needs. Baby cries with anger when it is hungry; little child will be angry when her sister has more attention from parents.  Having more, accumulating goods, receiving awards etc makes us feel secure and important, and stronger. So again, the desires, the need to receive comes from basic insecurities and low confidence. The unreasonable anger when somebody receives more has also usually roots in the past. When we are free from this kind of desire, the need to grasp, the need to be special, the need to be better than others or have more, we are free not only from this sort of anger, we are free to use or potential to achieve more.</p>
<p>And there is also the primary anger, just a survival tool, which prompts us to action when we are in real danger, or there is a real danger to others, or our basic values are attacked. This kind of anger allows us to overcome the paralyzing fear so we can stand up for ourselves and defend our basic existence.</p>
<p>Anger management is about acknowledging and expressing your anger in an acceptable way. Uncontrolled anger creates problems, makes relationships difficult, can be damaging for us and for our surrounding, as it easily leads to abusive words or acts of violence, and even to the jail sentence. Denying the anger and suppressing it builds the pressure and leads to uncontrolled eruption when we cannot stand it anymore. It also affects health and brings other emotions, like guilt when we condemn ourselves for anger. It is better to express anger in a respectful way.</p>
<p>Anger management is also about understanding your anger and being able to prevent it in the first place by knowing the triggers and finding the ways to solve the situation before the anger arises. We can train ourselves to stay rational instead of letting the anger blind us out, so we can assess the situation and realize that we overact, that the threat is not real. We can learn relaxation techniques, as it is rather difficult to become angry when you are totally relaxed. We can learn many other ways to deal with strong emotions.</p>
<p>Hypnotherapy is the best tool for anger management, because it allows you to access your internal resources to find the best solutions to manage your anger. You can also implement your solutions in hypnosis and rehearse the challenging situations, still in hypnosis. They havent quite managed to get past the somewhat medieval views (first promoted, incidentally, by doctors afraid that the modern methods would cause patients to lose faith in their own disciplines) that hypnotism is some kind of dark art or witch craft. It is, of course, nothing of the sort. Hypnotism is simply applied psychiatry  teaching the mind, in other words, to heal itself through particular techniques.</p>
<p>Hypnosis has come a long way from its roots, in the eyes of the public at least  who are now so receptive of the technique that successful hypnotists like Max Kirsten (whose London clinic has cured some extremely famous people of habits and addictions) even have their own forum in major national broadsheet papers. In actuality, the techniques of hypnotism are little different now to the way they were 50 years ago: its simply that our understanding of the technique and its effects has broadened  as has our acceptance of the fact that alternative therapies have a lot going for them. As the last fetters of a medieval view of the role of medicine and medication crumble, our modern society is able to look forward to an era when any therapy, as long as it is beneficial and non-harmful, can take on the job of making people feel better. Whether it be your health, relationships, finances or career, its fear that holds you back from achieving more.  You have that uncomfortable feeling that makes you hot and sweaty every time you think of it, which prevents you from taking any kind of action to achieve success.  Let me explain what a fear or phobia is, and give you a technique to reduce or get rid of the negative feeling.</p>
<p>What is a Fear or Phobia?<br />
A Fear or Phobia is a negative feeling in your body brought on by either an experience you had in the past or by the mental images you constantly play over in your mind.  We&#8217;re only born with two fears; the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises, all other fears are learnt behaviours. Any behaviour that can be leant can be unlearnt.  So you had a bad experience in the past, and now every time you think of doing something similar, you get an uncomfortable feeling in your body.  It usually starts in your chest and pushes up towards your throat.  It may even have a circular, spinning feeling in your body that allows you to feeling terrible, out of breathe and your temperature rises.  </p>
<p>What&#8217;s actually happened here, is when the incident occurred, you had such a negative emotional response that now anything you associate to this experience, gives you this feeling.  Therefore, if you had a bad experience with public speaking, whenever someone mentions public speaking you feeling terrible.  You create mental images in your mind of everything going wrong, just like in your initial experience.  These negative images along with that internal voice in your head allow you to feeling horrible, while thinking of this experience.  You&#8217;ve now done it so often it&#8217;s become a habit; you think &#8211; you feel, you think &#8211; you feel.  It&#8217;s become an automatic process like brushing your teeth or tying your shoelace. The great thing is that you learnt this behaviour and therefore you can unlearn it.</p>
<p>How to get rid of a fear or phobia<br />
Think of your fear and identify the direction of the feeling in your body.  For example; it may be a forwards, backwards, clockwise or an anticlockwise spinning feeling in your body.  Close your eyes now and imagine this fear or phobia playing out in your mind.  Imagine you&#8217;re watching a big blockbuster movie and you&#8217;re in it.  Notice the spinning feeling in your body and give it the colour red and keep it spinning.  Now change the direction of the spinning in your body and give it the colour blue.  For Example; if it was a red, backwards spinning feeling, now spin it forwards with the colour blue.  Picture this blue colour spinning in your body as you see yourself successfully handle this situation in the movie calmly and confidently.  Now gently step inside yourself in the movie and allow yourself to see everything through your own eyes.  See what you&#8217;ll see through your own eyes when everything plays out successfully, the way you want it to.  Make the picture bigger, brighter and more colourful while you continue to spin this blue feeling in your body faster and faster.  Let the blue colour become lighter and lighter until it&#8217;s a sky blue.  What calm or confident internal voice do you hear when everything plays out successfully in the situation.  Make this voice more calm and confident and the sounds around you louder and richer, as you continue to spin this light blue feeling in your body.  Do this for 5-10 minutes and when you feel great open your eyes.</p>
<p>How great do you feel now?  By changing the images, sounds and the direction of the feeling in your body, you&#8217;re able to feel more calm, confident and relaxed in this situation.  This will allow you to take the necessary action to enter a similar situation in the future.  By taking action over and over you condition a new habit of calmness and confidence in this situation until it becomes an automatic behaviour.  By doing this you&#8217;ll get rid of your fear completely!</p>
